So I've been looking around on Google and other places, and I can't seem to find anything quite like what i'm looking for, so i thought, "Hmmm, sen is pretty dang good at solving problems, ask them :) "

I'm trying to find an online writing community, where basically they give you an essay topic for the day/week, and you write the essay and submit. Does anyone know of / think they can find a place like what i described. Like I've said, I've looked around, but can't seem to find it. :( Hopefully a place like this exists, because I would really like to get involved.

Thanks.
(ps, i think this topic goes here since its literature related, if not please place accordingly)

I don't know of any such community. Perhaps you'd like to organize something similar at SEN? There are a few people with writing skills around here.

I'm a logical-mathmatical thinker, and I would enjoy it :) I want to improve my writing skills. I just wanted to concur with JaFF.

What kind of essays though? You would need someone to come up with intelligent prompts, have some material to read and write about, you would need someone who is very good at writing too. I am fortunate enough to have had an english teacher who was simply amazing, and it wasn't until I had her that I realized that stuff I thought was good, really wasn't. I think a lot of people have the same problem I had. I only mention this because hopefully you would want the caliber of your contest or forum to be high, unless it's just an informal thing I guess.

That's what i'm talking about, I want intelligent prompts, that excite the mind ya know? I couldn't really organize it because I'm not very good at writing, but I want to do this to improve. Anyway, if someone else on sen(who is qualified) wants to run the show and do like a weekly essay, I'll participate :)
