SDE, BWAPI owner, hacker.

If someone can get me the beta version of SC2, I'll be making early value lists for mapping and modding, as well as describing as many file formats as I can handle.

StarCraft 2 wont need you for that, since essentially everything will be customizable.

None.

O RLY?

Even customization has its limits you know.

Customizable feats need their file formats documented as well.

I don't think one person can handle all that customization.

I'd give it to you anyways just for past-greatness.

I'd love to see a first person shooter in StarCraft II with the dashboard removed.

Someone pulled that off in WarCraft III, only that the dashboard is still in the way.

im expecting some map specific custom models or visible modifications possible(beyond the size/hue crap of wc3) because they said the sc2 map editor is equal or superior to wc3 in everyway but wc3 had a bunch of creep to use for custom units, sc2 doesnt =\

Call of Duty 2 Mimic (I don't know the real name)

They did, except the dashboard.

Speaking of first person... Elder Scroll mimic? Video 1/Video 2.

Anyways, since StarCraft II removes its dashboard during cutscenes, and I am sure an FPS will happen. :D

There was a very fun WCIII Snipers map that had a view that followed the player. You had to a+click on your enemies, though.

I'd like to see that.

Actually, the videos I provided had Call of Duty 2 arms model and gun models in front of the perspective.

And besides, setting camera angle with set zoom without a locking on a unit's eyes isn't first person. And if it is, hopefully it isn't broken when the camera goes through the floor/walls, or simply unstable.

Lastly, I'm talking about stable first person cameras with arm models with using WASD keys for control, and mouse for the camera.
