Since many people would contribute(theoretically), people can spend a lot more time on smaller, more detailed sections allocated to them.

Map size: 256x256
Vote on tileset: Badlands, Jungle, or Space
Each person claims a region of the map in #of sq tiles(like sq ft).

I would prefer a Maplantis map. Although it was made before, it is too small.

But sure since it will kill time.

If we had minerals, we could have made it possible to buy terrain, to prevent the use of too much space. My house is at the top of a mountain.

we could also have a unit placed to keep track of each players space, and they name the unit their screen name

So how are you going to implement a StarCraft II Stargate, a Pit of Death, and James Brown on the map?

If you guys go through with this, could you please post lots of screenshots? I lost my SC installation but still visit SEN and wantz to see.

I'll submit something when we figure out the tileset, I'd say jungle or badlands probably. I don't really love cityscape, because it's kinda repetitive and theres rarely anything new, but this could be different. Jungle is harder to make buildings with but can sometimes look cooler then badlands, space terrain is just worse then badlands for cityscape.
