I think the big problem is that you dissed the map twice in this thread (quotes: "Best map: not temple siege, that's as fun as grinding my balls in a blender" .. and "Most overatted map: Temple Siege") ..
...Yeah... if u put it that way, obviously people are going to pin you down for that =_='
But I've discussed that in my rant in the general SC discussion "Let's talk about the AoS fad" ...
It is true that TS has glitches n bugs, but it hits the sweet spot where it is accessible, but is still complicated for those who wants to dive in. Of course, it can also be viewed as "only good competitively" (but aren't all games like that? lol) But it is also true that people have their own opinions, and make really crazy, over the top complicated maps because they like to make these maps.
I think the difference is at this: In making maps, I aim to please the pubbies, and have fun while playing my map. Of course, others will make maps to challenge others (bounds/impossibles), to express their new concept (mini-games/puzzles), or to simply make complicatedly triggered map (ex: astrogears, spellsword rpg). So in this case, I have achieved my goal, which is to make my map popular. It is true that there's a lot going on about my map, but that's exactly what I was going for, and I have simply achieved =D. Every mapper makes their maps in their own unique way, so next time, don't say it's as fun as grinding ur balls in a blender

... because I would then say playing something like Five Triggers is as painful as saccing myself with a hammer.. (ouch?)
In the mean time, let's stick on topic.
err..
Yeah.. Azala's maps are really cool at first

. Again, like MA, he has the talent to create new innovative, yet simple maps ^.^... Self Defense was awesome. But for me, it just doesn't WoW me as much as Rush or Mini-game party did.
None.
