Relatively ancient and inactive

What old photoshop creations can you guys dig up? Here's what I have:

The two categories overlap a bit time-wise, but I think a complete picture can be made.

From imageshack (starts earlier):
First siggy:

Laugh all you want...

Yeah... I got into space a bit. The Darkness Dragons thing was my first clan, had maybe 5 active people. Also got me into website making first time, so as sad as it was, I miss it :P.

Yep. Patterns!

Terribad.

This one was rather nicer.

Big space scene. I could do it better now, but I never found a decent sun-making technique.

Boooring space scene.

Oh, dear god... I thought for five minutes whether to show it or not. I guess it has to come out...

This one wasn't TOO bad, right?

Omfg it folds up!

Siggy for my brother. He never used it.

This one was pretty good. Excessive pattern use, but I establish a text style that I've used ever since.

First experiment with C4D sig.

BOOM SHAKALAKA

From Photobucket (Starts later):
A bad siggy I made when I used my masterful photoshop skills to create bars. The sides were actually side effects of the technique I developed that I was never able to reproduce :(.

A bad siggy I made when I was... bored?

A bad siggy I made when I wanted to incorporate a space scene. I really should've kept the border simple...

Planet #3. First decent one. Just had to switch it because the one I had up here before had ma' real name!

Planet #7, I believe. Only one I made with rings. Originally 4k x 4k pixels.

Ah, yes....

My first decent sig with a custom-made abstract render. Only thing I hate is the text.

My best sig, in my opinion (I know I was never much good :P). No outside brushes used, nada. Just C4D for render.

Other people can add their best things here. Or worst. Whichever. I'll run through things I didn't upload and see if anything's worth showing.

It's one of those things, you look back, and you can't believe you were that retarded. It happens a lot to me :(. That one DID have a good background, though.

Oh, and comments would be nice.. I've seen people just walk by, and even if it's to laugh at my inability to make any good effects, recognition counts :P.

Sadly I deleted all my sigs... I do webdesign now. =P I had some sigs that would have topped yours on the bad sig scale! xD

I'd have loved to see them, to reaffirm that I was not mentally ill at the time of their making.

Were? :P

Anyway, Half of them aren't half bad. I doubt many people in the current sen can make signatures like this anyway.

fuck you all

Kevin, the abstracts themselves aren't that bad (though the first shouldn't be blurred), but there just doesn't seem to be a point. I think you can use any one of the four to make a good siggy.

I tend to compare with people who were REALLY good. The six or so people on SEN v4 who made epic siggies. I can't believe I forgot their names, though...
As for people on current SEN, most of those don't really take interest in this so it doesn't tell much.

Need moar funnies! Or laughing at funnies. Jesus, how do I make this topic more active? Is it okay to move it to Null?

The first one is a radial blur version of something else.

And they're ment to be wallpapers, but I guess I can make a sig.

Yeah. The first one's blur kind of breaks it, the second one's blur is on too big a scale and it sharps it up a bit killing the effect, and the next two have too much black. You want to make it a bit more exciting.

Speaking of which, the last wallpaper I made (+ icons): I actually used this for a long while, but I made a few changes and right now I have no wallpaper at all. Smokeh!

Heh. If anyone wants to know how to do any of the nice effects, I can recreate almost all of them. There are some nice ones there, I can't let my ego flounder too much.

Syphon, red2blue, Zombie, n2o-Simpsons, Mr. Camo, and there was one other guy that made good ones...

Yeah, Zombie was good. n2o and Camo didn't make as much as the person I'm thinking about did, though... dammit! I can't remember him.

I don't know, I loved his siggies. How do you know who I'm talking about based on my paltry description?

Any, Sie-Phun, Syphonius Maximus, post some of your old noob stuff. You saw my worst, I want to see someone else's :P.

That's the fifth signature I ever made, page 50 of my photobucket account...

This one is from around page 45.

This is from page 32.

Laterer...

Page 27.

Moar.

That's the last one I ever made, and I believe is two years old.

Hercanic, are those in any chronological order?

Syphon, those are much better then my equivalents. In my defense, I only made like 30 total. Still, the quality seems to have remained in about the same place after the first several ones. Looks like mostly brushwork.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
