The whole idea behind censoring any holiday-specific affiliation has a lot to do with business. They don't want to turn away potential customers because they have the wrong holiday sign hanging outside of their store. It went from being pro-Christmas to a more neutral stance because Christianity had a greater influence on society at large in the past (although the Christian influence is still the largest in the present).
The lawsuits that happen because of religious matters in schools represent more extreme examples of intolerance, and do not represent the general tone of school environments.
Currently, the greatest incluence is the Religion of Islam, followed by Roman Catholicism. I'm a minority.

Im a minority too. The hollidays are all about one thing, family. And being with your family is important for a reason. And that is to live on and stuff. You don't need lights or candles or presents (optional), just family.

The one thing I never got about Christmas is all the fictional characters. (Santa, Frosty, Elf, Reindeer with glowing red noses, ect.) Stuff like that does not even teach children the true meaning of Christmas. (Birth of Jesus)
When Christmas day rolls around, I usually go to church.
I also usually give/ get gifts to/ from the people I love, but I am not complaining.
Oh, and about Santa Claus being a fictional character, I guess he is a knock-off of Saint Nicholas.

I don't really care, I'm going to say merry Christmas.
I don't care who I offend, if they're staying true to their religion, then they should be open-minded. Unfortunately, not many people understand this now-a-days, it's all about who offends who and who gets offended by it. Who knows? One slip of a word and you could get shot!
I live in America god damnit, I'm going to use all my rights.

You do realize how ironic you were, right? If they should be open minded, then you should be too.

Yes, I do realize the irony in my statement. Just because I say merry Christmas doesn't mean I don't respect other people's rights just as much as mine though.
I'm open-minded too, I don't really care what holidays people celebrate and what they don't. However, I'm going to say merry Christmas, and if someone is offended by that, well.. I don't know how to put it, they shouldn't be. It's a holiday. I said I don't care who I offend, because I shouldn't be offended anyone by saying it.

Thats not being open minded. Thats
not giving a damn.
