1 vote for 5th one :O
Lethal says there's none that are good and that I should just put the door that is included in the temple wall since those just seems to be holes into the wall. You agree? :O

I vote #2

Dec 1 2008, 11:43 pm Jello-Jigglers Post #25

I like the fifth the bestest as well. The #2 is too blocky at the top deathman...

:payne:

Go for #5! :D
I'll try to find a way that this doesn't just look like a hole in a wall and make it so we cant enter in it :O

Number 5 is the best, but is the blocky pathway intended? I don't play diablo so I'm just asking.

:payne:

No it's not, this was made fastly and roughly, I haven't incorporated it yet to the real terrain :P

:payne:

Okay, I did some more try on it by taking the 5th and modifying it a bit:

See how only #2 and 3 are walkable.

So, what's your vote?
I tested with some D2 players and they all vote for the one I actually have planned out (the one that doesn't look like a tower), so what shall I do now? :S
All except one which voted this one (he's the only one whom I showed it, though): http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h109/mneox/House4.jpg

:payne:

Well, I'll go for #3.
Today is gonna be a wave of refresh to this map ^^
I'm gonna change the graveyard again and I'll probably restart the whole Black Marsh. I may start Tristram and Monastery Gate too :D

Only thing that is gay is that some units have problems walking in it (but still can): Reaver, Dragoon, Lurker, Tank, Vulture, Dark Archon and Archon (maybe I forgot some). And the Ultralisk is such a fatass he can't even pass xD

I finally got diablo 2 (hurray for me), and I think #2 or #3 look most like it.

:payne:

Okay... could you make a choice between 2 and 3 please? :O

Dec 12 2008, 5:47 am stickynote Post #35

Number 2.

Dec 12 2008, 6:04 am payne Post #36

:payne:

Could anyone blend it better? It's a bit blocky (talking of the #2) for the transition between mud and grass.
Thanks! :D

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
