No, just like there is no point in unwalkable terrain.

Am I the only one who thinks that Starcraft II gets completely ruined by things like Protoss Motherships? Geez man, we are supposed to be talking about Starcaft II, not about some retarted bling bling sci-fi Red Alert (not the first one but the ones made by the new EA teams).

Meh.

I actually have a distaste to how they are doing the voice's on the characters. Every single one of them seems to have three echo's. Am I the only one that finds that overused and slightly annoying?

Echos make it realistc

People are in a ship or in a suit. You cant literally hear them speak normally

The game isn't realistic in the slightest sense, so I highly doubt realism is what they were aiming for.

Its all story based. And its science fiction. It may not be realistic.

i tdoubt that unit would be the thor for terran because the special abilities on the mother ship are far more powerful than the special ability of the thor
The thor's special destroyed a nearly full hp'ed cc with it on one move. Thats like 5-6 yamato cannons worth of damage.

Well, it is being designed by one of the people who worked on Command and Conquer 3. :P

Anyhow, defense in Starcraft 2 is important, but not with stationary defense. Using units like Stalkers and Immortals in the same defense is quite essential to being successful, and it works a hell of a lot better than cannons.

mothership being Unnerfed and not having the black hole sucks =/ ....
IT REaLLy shold have the black hole :( .. and only 1 mother ship at a time.... ...

Heh, from what I've seen at Blizzcon, no, it shouldn't have the Black Hole thing :P

It's like a fusion of the Skrin Mothership and the Skrin superweapon (Black Hole generator).

It was so unbalanced, even if one could only control one at a time.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
