I am currently obsessed with downloading music, but hit a snag. When a song is a remix, who gets the credit as the artist? I'm trying to stay away from "Kiss ft. Barry Manilow" but I want to give credit to both artists. Any ideas?

None.

Just Here For The Pie

When it is just an artist with another artist assisting them, I usually have it:
Title ft. Other Guy - Artist

When it is a remix of a song by a different artist yet still on the original artist's album, I have:
Title (Other Guy Remix) - Artist

When it is a remix of a song by a different artist on his/her own album, I have:
Title (remix or whatever) - Other Guy

However, I generally follow the titling of what the album says in the liner notes in the album booklet, or just read it up on Wikipedia.
Seeing as you download your songs, I would suggest Wikipedia.

If the remixing artist is still an underground phenomenon and yet to have much info on Wikipedia, just read the liner notes on their website/Myspace/Facebook/Tagged/ whatever.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically
