Let me show you how to hump without making love.

I've been thinking and I may be registering a site to host a forum, including a detailed map hosting system run by myself and a few others. This site would be somewhere for srs mappers to go and make their mappage. The site would be run very strictly, meaning the ban hammer will be dropped for pretty simple reasons. I was just wondering if this would be supported as a SEN/SDO alternative.

The map hosting system I have in mind would be more set for larger projects or people who like to have feedback on their maps. Each map would have it's own 'profile' of sorts, with different menus and to an extent, it's own forum. Then the entire database would be closely kept clear of crap by an array of moderators that could handle it.

Anyone who wants to join in the fun, please post comments here... Made for the people, by the people. Also, programmers, graphixers and such are going to be needed. Theres a few people who have opted already, but we all know how that works.

Now, let's get to the flaming!

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

[flame] GTFO OUR SEN YOU USELESS ILLEGITIMATE CHILD AND GO PROMOTE YOUR NOOB SITES TO OTHER SITE :flamer: [/flame]

:P
Now, on topic. It's always good to have other communities around, the more the merrier as they say. But, honestly, I'd consider it just to be somesort of "duplicate" over sen. Meanins that you promoted it here and all the people you'll have there will be from sen and would check it even less than what sen is checked right now, besides with all those strict ruling method you're proposing not only scared a few members right now but also (the ones who do join) will be like autobanned according to that ban hammer, now you can imagine what is the kind of people that would actually go there.

I'm not against this, however, and if I can help in anyway I can think of I will.

fuck you all

Quoth the raven, "Swag galore."

Sounds like Maplantis but more extreme.

I also frown upon the idea of organizing this on SEN. While I am not yet actively impeding you, I just wanted you to know that I would feel SEN was being supplanted on its own turf at best.

That's what I thought I would get, I wouldn't mind in the least if you deleted this topic. People ended up discussing it with me in person rather than post anyway...

StarCraft's too old. Maybe for SC2. Most projects for SC just won't work out due to SC2 being on the way. However, if you do decide to go on with it, I'd suggest running it from your own computer until (if, really) you get enough traffic to need to do otherwise.

My Projects:

Impossible Ultraviolet | Impossible UV 2 | Impossible UV 3
Mercenaries 2020 | Mercenaries III
Squad Defense

Legacy Projects (No guarantee of functionality in modern SC):

Pixel Adventure 2 | Space Snipers | Control the Ball

Yes, I had talked to you personally about doing this. You know I'll be there when you need the help. I can add a couple of mods to it.

I like the way you described the map hosting thing.

Relatively ancient and inactive

Except... it's already like that. Comments and all. However, it's hard to actually find the map.

I'm firmly against it to keep SEN together.

dumbducky -- Tim Walz is my dad; Kamala's my fun aunt who lives next door. They just found out I'm being bullied by the shittiest kid in my class, JD. When they try to talk to his dad, Don, it becomes clear he's the real problem. They go back to their car; Kamals pulls out her cop badge, Tim grabs his old baseball bat. They walk back to Don's porch. As Tim reaches for the doorbell they look at each other and smile. This is going to be fun.

Ultraviolet -- oh yeah probably. think I misinterpreted the original message. I thought he meant moving the flag revealed the base in the sense that it opened it up to being scouted, but what you're saying makes more sense
