Am I shoutbox banned?

I dunno if i am or not cause when i try to shout it just disables the boxes and i can't click them or anything... I thought maybe it would say "You got banned" or something.

Edit: I just shouted with internet explorer flawlessly. It is most certainly not the browser. The different skin fixed the problem. Or as Matt Burch would have it "detoured"

Dungeon Master

You're not banned or suspended from anything, nor have you been.

Are you sure about that?

I'd say he is using Internet Explorer. It has issues with Shoutbox, as far as I am concerned. PLease, use Firefox.

Phobos browser has nothing to do with it. It is the SEN skins that are messing with the code. For some reason the shoutbox doesn't work with certain skins. I don't know why, but that's the way it is. Alayou change skins until you find one that works.

I'm using the V4 skin, and it doesn't work, for starters.

I am using firefox. Internet Explorer is a joke... But it works now, it was the skin. I haven't tested any others... i'm just using default since it doesn't bother me any.

Relatively ancient and inactive

Yes it is. Stop using it. Now. Use Google Chrome, nub.

Post a screenshot of what's stopping you from using the shoutbox, and a more detailed explanation, if you want help.

JavaScript is failing. That's what the problem is. There is nothing more to explain. And he is getting help right now.

My IE appears black from my current Windows configuration, and it happily matches my MSN. Also, it usually works 100% of the time. Why would I stop using something that has not failed me yet?

And the shoutbox problem is a problem with the coding, and I think that was made rather apparent up in the post. The "Shout" button clicks like its going to work, and then it does. 10 seconds later, it comes back up, ready to be used once again, and nothing happens.

Have to admit, this is true. BUT THIS HAPPENS TO ME WHILE USING IE ONLY.

Did someone seriously report me for saying that I perfer IE over FireFox? In that case, FF can go yiff in hell.

On a lighter note, the shoutbox worked fine a month ago, some people could probably remember me whoring off messages in there. But, since I don't like to use any skin but the V4 skin, I can restrain myself for the time being.

No I reported it because it doesn't contain any useful information towards the topic at hand.

Actually, I use IE and it works perfectly fine.
I have used it with Firefox before and, besides the lag Firefox usually gave me, it used to not refresh and the ajax didn't work at all.

fuck you all

Browser has no issue with it, its the code that broke. IE works fine to this date with the working skin on.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically
