Hello

So... if you made a mod, where SCV's makes 999 dmg in melee maps, and you are playing the mod intern with a friend [who also has that mod] and he takes zerg, so you pwn him, remake, pwn, remake....
his win score is incrasing... so
do you think that hat is hacking??

A game need to last for two minutes, otherwise it ends in a draw. You should be able to beat the computer in just above two minutes (get a worker to kite the computer's workers while the other seven kill the HQ).

Mods that are used for an unfair advantage are hacks. Srsly. You're giving yourself an epicly unfair advantage.

The sword and the faith

Edit: Re-read first post. Man I hate Dev's typing.

It's just plain stupid. Make a mod worth playing.

It's not a hack because it cannot interfere with the normal game, just with another modded player.

A real hack allows you to gain an unfair advantage in a serious game, rather than a retarded mod that lets you feel better about yourself because of your win score.

Yay! I'm gonna get a 128-0-0 record, by playing 128 games where all I do is SCV rush my opponent! WOOO.

Enjoy wasting your time.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically
