So I'm thinking of making a thing like the DLDB but you can upload maps, specify the version, create description, etc. It will have editing etc. Should I make it.

You can already do all of that in the DLDB.

He wants to make his own version.
I actually think that would be a good idea. Just an entire site dedicated to just uploading starcraft maps. No forum or anything else, just uploading/downloading, but I guess with the whole comment and rating system as-well.

If you want/need any help I'm available for anything web programming related.
