An AWESOME MAP
Heres the deal, I've made three versions and am working on the fourth. All havent' been finished but I have learned a lot about triggers. I'm currently having a bit of trouble with it because I've neglected to get a map editor better then staredit yet and its a multiplayere map and its tough to test a multiplayer map with out multiple people to play it. I'm definitely having it on take place on the jungle world tile set. The lay out will be like this. In each of the four corners there will be a dark god of some sort. After some trial and error I've decided to use Protoss buildings for the Dark gods because they can't lift off and they don't have creep which interfered with moving the dark gods around (via triggers). I'm hoping to have a money system, in which I use Uraj and Khalis crystals (for different types of triggers and so I can use the "command" conditions and so I can target them using certain actions. Plus its so much cooler when you can see the money being used. A players money will be centered around the players dark god. Money will be gained via various side quests (killing special things, getting enough of a unit etc.) but mainly by enslaving the enemy units and sacrificing them to the darkgod (via a location centered around the Dark God and a couple of triggers that kill one unit exactly then create an uraj crystel for the player. I don't have a clue who to implement the slave system and that is one of my major problems. Aside from killing all the other dark gods, a few other quests will be summoning the overlord rush, killing the Lil'Bastard, using an avatar for the dark god (it will be a hero unit) and powering up your dark god (this will move it to the center and give you a bunch of new abilities). As well as forcefully capturing enemy units and enslaving them a player can also get tribute. Tribute is not automated and is one of several abilities that a player starts with. When a player brings the avatar to a tribute beacon, they lose money and the owner of that beacon gains some. Abilities will be accessible through a storage area where your avatar resides when not in use for direct combat and the avatar will also activate abilties (by moving onto beacons).
