Also, I thought of something else, but it may not be possible. "Gluing" smaller ships together to form larger ones, so you sort of earn your right to command bigger and more powerful ships. It's much more satisfying to build your way up to a monster capital ship than merely pressing a button and waiting longer to get your BC.
It'd be cool if you could get ultra-complicated with this and start modifying the ships' behaviors and physics based on how big/haphazard they are, but I doubt that's feasible in StarCraft. On the other hand, it could be as simple as an Archon meld for two ships, rendering them immobile while they're fusing. I'd think you could do multiple levels, too... such as:
wraith + wraith = super-wraith
super-wraith + super-wraith = ultra-wraith
wraith + super-wraith = super-wraith with sidecar
Just a few options like this could add a lot of customizability to a fleet, I think.

Its might not be possible since there are only two technologies for archon warp. But Im currently working on the addon concept which involves me working with 4 x 6 => 24 buildings. It will be epic if I can at least pull out one race.
