I'll keep this short. Obviously a lot of us are sci-fi fans, and I was wondering what people are watching or have watched recently? Looking for recommendations.
Things I've watched recently:The Expanse (waiting eagerly for next series)
Cowboy Bebop (currently re-watching)
Another Life (garbage)
None.
The Expanse is all I need. Agreed Another Life was absolute garbage. I've heard BSG and Stargate are good too, and obviously Star Trek.

Dark was really good. I also quite enjoyed Travelers.
My wife and I are in the middle of rewatching Enterprise but I wouldn't exactly recommend it.

The Orville, The Expanse, Star Trek Discovery, Altered Carbon.
Next year Star Trek Picard is coming. January. Get hype.

Dark is incredible! Some of the best stuff I've watched in a looong time.
Other than that, I guess the only sci-fi stuff I've watched recently is Stranger Things. And I still have to watch the last episode of Altered Carbon. Sadly that series kind of lost me after a while, cause it started going away from the book.
Altered Carbon was a good recommendation - I'm now five episodes in. Having not read the book (kind of like with The Expanse), I'm not going to notice the differences.
This is very cyberpunk. Speaking of which, I'm really looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 next year.
None.

Glad you enjoyed. Check out The Orville next.

The Mandalorian is pretty damn good.

New expanse season is going strong.

Second season of
Love, Death & Robots just came out. It's a series of standalone, mostly animated sci-fi shorts. The overall quality is really good and I highly recommend checking it out.

how does it compare to the first one, which I enjoyed a lot?
I personally enjoyed the first season more, and I think the second season has fewer episodes too.

It's been a while since I watched the first season, but I think it was better than the second. There were a lot of good stuff in S2 as well, but it felt less impactful overall. Two of the episodes felt very similar thematically, which I found a bit odd. Very different settings, but essentially the same story. And as Dem0n said, it's shorter. Some episodes are really short too. Not sure how that compares to S1. Might rewatch it soon.

Lower Decks was great. Picard was a disappointment. Really thought the latest season of Discovery was a backwards step too.

Some of the graphics of the LDR Vol.2 are fantastic. There were scenes where I genuinely couldn't tell that it's an animation and not real footage. But yeah, not enough content, only a few stories really clicked with me and I miss the sexiness.
Picard was exactly what I expected. Which wasn't too much. It's just the way movies and shows are nowadays. I guess many people thought because of Patrick Steward it would be old Trek again. Clearly that wasn't going to be the case. Old Trek is dead. But Picard at least tried to stay somewhat true to the Trek universe. Also great visuals - as expected. Hair raising plot - as expected, but at least the characters acted somewhat believable. Also I guess there was no way around some nostalgia with Riker and Troi, which was okay, but

WHY did Will have to become a captain again?! -.-
Do they really think people enjoy such bs?
Don't get me started with Discovery. Worst insult to Star Trek I could imagine. Just a massive amalgamation of unnecessary drama, stupid decisions and contrived plot points. It just makes me mad watching it. And even if you ignore all old Trek, Burnham gotta be the most annoying lead character ever. It's so bad that I even hate scenes with Green in Walking Dead now.

I think you're the only person I've ever heard complain about this, and I've heard a lot of criticism of Picard.

I did.

I would have been upset if he hadn't come back. Riker and Troi immediately wanted to know why Picard hadn't turned to them for help in the first place. It was obvious Riker was going to come back to help later in the series and it would have been wildly out of character from him to stand by and do nothing.

I have my criticisms of Discovery, but Enterprise's jingoistic space-9/11 bullshit is a far worse insult to the spirit of Star Trek than anything Discovery could ever manage.

Yeah he was gonna find a way to help him, but Starfleet wouldn't let him command an armada.
