StorylineA philosophy student named Eon has questions. He talks to himself most of the time, debating to himself the meaning of life and the origin of the universe. Upon his travels, Eon meets a mysterious entity named Rayan who claims to be the devil in disguise, sending Eon to a place beyond.Example dialogue

Talk to me, universe.
I've heard your whispers. And in the shadows I've seen your face.
Example dialogue

All lies are fabrications to test the diligence of the will.
I lie so that you may see the truth. You seek and I am ordained to answer.
Spell System
Every 4 levels, you gain a spell. You get to choose from 3 unique spells and you end up with a total of 4 spells. Spells exist in 3 categories: warrior spells; alchemy spells; mage spells.
Intelligence Rating
Throughout the game you will get to interact with the dialogue and be able to choose your particular answer (usually 3 answers to choose from). At the end of the game, you will receive a score based on the aptitude of your answers.
The player will be tested on the following topics:
1. Conflict
2. Meaning of life
3. Time and space
4. God
5. Morality
6. Kindness
7. Logic
8. Philosophy
Attributes
Much like my previous maps, an attribute system exists. Choose from four attributes.
1. Strength: Raises total HP and carry limit.
2. Endurance: Raises armor and spell resistance.
3. Intelligence: Raises total mana and mana regeneration rate.
4. Wisdom: Increases spell durations and lowers spell cooldowns.

Storyline seems intriguing and your systems, well, if it ain't broke don't fix it! I like the spell idea as it should mean each playthrough is unique for each player.
Do you have any screenshots?
Thanks, I'm trying to make it poetic and philosophical, to provoke existential thought in the player.
No screenshots yet. I'll upload a few once I get some.
None.
From what I read, I guess this is a single player RPG then ?
I pretty much liked your previous RPGs, so I'm looking forward to play this one, and see what the story is really about =)
None.
Awesome. About time for another MetalGear RPG!
I'm a big fan of single player RPG's in general, and it has been a while since I've come across a good one. This is on my radar for sure.
PS - Please fix the text color issue in your Elder Scrolls RPG's and upload the new versions.
None.
It's a 3-player RPG with shared gold and experience.
Here's the new
Skyrim map with text issue fixed.

Sweet. Thanks for fixing the text issue. Was it only Skyrim that was affected?
None.
No problem. I think Oblivion runs okay since I didn't use grey text. But the colour codes will be slightly mixed up.
Anyways, just a small update. I've spent about a thousand bucks on voice actors for this map. I changed it to single player since the player gets to interact with the dialogue, which he takes at his own pace.
Expect an epic adventure!

Holy shit?? So, what, exactly, you paid 1k to hire some voice actors to voice all your dialogue?
I'm curious to know just how much voice acting 1k gets you.
Yea... I guess I really wanted to bring this map to life, you know. It's all about the dialogue. That's what you play for, essentially. The battle system is just for finishing touches.
1k doesn't get you much, really. My total word count was 3000 words. So about $300 for a thousand words.

Voice acting is a way to bypass string limit I suppose if you don't do subtitles and just have all your quest dialogue voiced. You could then have a massive quest storyline that way, saving strings for the gameplay elements only.

That is exactly what I was thinking, but would it look as good without the txt as well.
None.
Damn, MetalGear. $1000 on voice acting for this map? That is freaking awesome.
My interest levels have reached maximum capacity.
The gauntlet has been thrown down, mapmakers. If you aren't dropping at least a grand on your maps, you're in the minor leagues.
None.
Since the dialogue is deep and philosophical, it requires text. I just hope I've got enough strings because I have about 250 pieces of dialogue lol.
Anyways, here's a sneak peak into how it will sound... just

Here it is. It needs testing before I release final version. Please let me know on potential improvements/glitches.

Hey man my playthrough/review is here:
https://youtu.be/Sm2ZLudUohQI'm trying to make it poetic and philosophical, to provoke existential thought in the player.
Well, I think you definitely have achieved this.

Your video link just shows a grey box for me, Oh_Man.

It was entertaining watching you play and listening to your thoughts. You made some good points. Here's the scoring info:
Quiz scoring

Quiz 1
1. All monsters should perish! I need to find a way to destroy them all! (0 points)
2. Conflict is the essence of learning. Without conflict, there would be no challenge. (2 points)
3. Fighting gives my life meaning. It defines me. (1 point)
Quiz 2
1. A man's meaning is self-defined. It has little to do with progress. (0 points)
2. Meaning exists within the illusion before a man discovers it. (1 point)
3. The meaning of existence is to live a lie, because you will find nothing in the ultimate truth. (2 points)
I can't prove this, but it follows from the dialogue.
Quiz 3
1. Time cannot be understood. It cannot be reasoned with. (1 point)
2. Time is infinite. It has no measure. There was no original cause. (0 points)
3. Time is the master which rules over every being. I am simply a victim of its machinery. (2 points)
Even if time travel becomes possible, we're still fixed to its laws and trapped in its space.
Quiz 4
1. I firmly believe in god. He must exist. (1 point)
2. I firmly believe there is no god. There is no evidence for his existence. (0 points)
3. When you know that you cannot know, then you truly know. (2 points)
We cannot know whether or not god exists. To believe in something is to have faith. If there is no substantial body of reason to back up the belief, it's not worth believing in.
Quiz 5
What do you think is the strongest kind of morality, Eon?
1. A belief in god. (2 points)
2. A belief in principality. (1 point)
3. A belief in reason. (0 points)
I'm not arguing a case for the existence of god here. I'm talking about 'belief'. If everyone actually believed in god, crime would be minimal, because you can't get away with anything. Principles are flimsy without a higher authority. Reason is weak, because people find excuses to commit crimes, or reason to themselves that they can get away with it.
Quiz 6
1. If I can get away with it, I'll do it. I don't believe in moral law. (0 points)
2. I'm kind only when it suits me. Most people don't deserve my kindness. (1 point)
3. It's wise to be kind because we can't know for sure whether or not the moral law exists. (2 points)
Quiz 7
1. There is only one valid way to apply thought. (2 points)
2. There is more than one correct way to apply thought. (1 point)
3. Logic tells us that all thought is merely interpretation. Therefore, truth cannot be known. (0 points)
In science and mathematics, there is only one correct way to apply thought, the simplest and the truest way. If this wasn't true, then scientists would disagree on the most basic of concepts, and we'd never have any conclusive result/fact.
Quiz 8
1. Philosophy leads to truth which leads to happiness. (1 point)
2. The point of philosophy is to help one make better decisions. (2 points)
3. There is no point to philosophy. (0 points)

Just saw my video actually is blocked on copyright grounds now due to a song you used in the map.
