Is this guy for real???

Ok browsing youtube  (that is what I do friday night ;) ) and I came across this guy Household Hacker. I've tried the AAA battery one and the High-Def speak one and both came up false. However on both ones, my materials didn't meet the exact specifications (I.E. The high def speaker one, I had a small paper plate instead of a big one, and my headphones had like 20 different colored wires in them instead of his which just had one copper (I think) wire sticking out). Also, I've read the comments, and watched the replies and some say yes some say no. So I was wondering if you, my fellow SENers could try one maybe and give me your results?

[EDIT] Happy ToA??? [/EDIT]

The speaker one is bs, althought I have not tried it I know a ton of youtubers have not got it to work, also a speaker needs a magnet to work unless pennies are magnetic I don't think it will work.

My physics teacher made a speaker out of a Styrofoam bowl last year, no magnets whatsoever.

Que Sera, Sera.

What isn't for "reals" is the word "reals". :)

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
