Surprisingly, nobody ever says their goals for GalaxyEdit. With that said, I'm curious- What do you consider the "Holy Grail" of SC2.

Mine is figuring out an aesthetic effect i did 2 days ago.
I messed around with the editor until i noticed something with a marine i moved. For every movement it made, it left a "trail" of some sort. So, when it walked it left a trail of where it has been.
I intend to figure how i accomplished this, and perhaps include more functionality to it. Maybe make the trail solid and create a PvP map of Tron.
If I figure this out i will sure to let you guys know ;).

EDIT:
I just realized another use of it while working on it right now. It could be used in an SC2 mafia map! e.g: Remains hidden unless someone "investigates" an area ;)

Maybe something to do with unit foot prints?

Anyways, my goal it to make a good micro map. And for it to become popular and earn money. If your map is earning $$, you know it's good.

I don't know about my highest goal, but my next goal is to make a custom ability.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

A bigger milestone would be understanding the Events.

I think, though, that I'll have to understand events in the process of creating an ability.

A racing game that rivals F-zero

But since the fixed camera angle lags the shit out of the game...
maybe a Racing game that rivals Micro Machines instead X.X

Ultraviolet -- Me too. The general concept is exciting and fun to play, or at least I enjoyed it in the previous Diplo Europe iteration.

Excalibur -- I have no idea if Clans will finish his map but I hope so.

Ultraviolet -- don't count your chickens before they're hatched :P

Excalibur -- Sie is really really good and I'm glad Clans had them do the terrain for the new map. I feel like not enough of Sie's stuff will ever get used on a finished map.

lil-Inferno -- doing terrain was fun but also annoying
[2025-5-05. : 3:43 am]
l)ark_ssj9kevin -- I preferred the terrain and unit placing. And of course making the unit names have cool colors.

NudeRaider -- http://staredit.net/381116/ it's funny, to me writing triggers was always the core of the (UMS) map making process and what actually made it fun to me. Creating terrain the least favorite part and thus I kept it pretty functional.
