Overwhelmed by pain, your thoughts become erratic as you enter a state of shock. You think you hear the sound of the bones in your neck breaking, but at this point you're unsure. Your vision begins to blur, and the light around you fades to nothing.

Impossible to be me. I'm in the foyer making fake clues and such.
You sprint west twice, and the room is pitch black. Using your torch to see, you note that the room is as you remember it, with illuminated doorways to the south and east, and another exit to the north. Grabbing the umbrella stand, you throw it through the southern door. You then pick up the mat, and throw it into the northern room. Using the sharp end of the meat hook, you scratch "HELP" into the western wall.

I used the method you're describing to fabricate a PM from Nasus in Devilesk's mafia to incriminate him, which is why I said "regardless of if the screenshot is real or fabricated."
There's no reason to not just use quotes. They are simple to fabricate, regardless of the person's technical savvy. That sort of meta-gaming makes it less fun anyways.
