[2018-6-09. : 12:15 am]
Moose -- Can we at least settle for unconscious and undiscovered vs irrational?
[2018-6-09. : 12:12 am]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: NudeRaider That's a good question, actually. I don't know if I'll ever have an answer. Or at least one that is rational, anyway.
first step is understanding that it's not rational. ;)
[2018-6-09. : 12:11 am]
Moose -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Mini Moose 2707 then why is it so hard to believe it can be the same in those areas (and actually every other area imaginable)
That's a good question, actually. I don't know if I'll ever have an answer. Or at least one that is rational, anyway.
[2018-6-09. : 12:07 am]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: All right, then, I'll stop giving unsolicited advice. Saves me time, so it's a win-win.
it's not that tbh. It's having an open mind and that other people may have to deal with shit you can't even imagine. Less judging would do us all good (and that includes me. ESPECIALLY me. I love judging)
[2018-6-09. : 12:05 am]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Oh, I have those areas in my life. Just not in terms of diet and exercise LMAO
then why is it so hard to believe it can be the same in those areas (and actually every other area imaginable)
[2018-6-09. : 12:04 am]
Moose -- All right, then, I'll stop giving unsolicited advice. Saves me time, so it's a win-win.
[2018-6-09. : 12:04 am]
Moose -- Oh, I have those areas in my life. Just not in terms of diet and exercise LMAO
[2018-6-09. : 12:04 am]
NudeRaider -- and then healthy 'ol Moose strolls along and asks you "Why are you doing that? It's bad!"
[2018-6-09. : 12:03 am]
NudeRaider -- Just let me tell you, consider yourself lucky, that you unable to understand this: Jack
Jack shouted: Yeah having thoughts that you are aware are irrational is quite an eye-opening experience. And you can't just stop thinking those thoughts without something to drown them out, like working really hard or drugs
Nothing is more fun that knowing you are gonna do a thing you shouldn't, then you do it, and while you do it you curse yourself for doing it.
[2018-6-09. : 12:00 am]
NudeRaider -- some may actually not have "a way out". Those can be helped with operations.
[2018-6-09. : 12:00 am]
Moose -- But they live it with it every day and they are very aware of the things they should be doing.
[2018-6-08. : 11:59 pm]
NudeRaider -- let say they don't know how.
[2018-6-08. : 11:59 pm]
Moose -- But then they wouldn't be unable to change.
[2018-6-08. : 11:58 pm]
NudeRaider -- yep. Unless they get the specific personal help that they need in their case
[2018-6-08. : 11:58 pm]
Moose -- never will*
[2018-6-08. : 11:57 pm]
Moose -- They can't, so they never well. Rest in peace.
[2018-6-08. : 11:57 pm]
Moose -- Then I guess they're all doomed.
[2018-6-08. : 11:57 pm]
NudeRaider -- I'll say it one last time: It's not a rational decision, weighing things against each other, or the ineptitude to grasp the consequences of their actions. (they live with it every day, they are VERY aware). They are UNABLE TO CHANGE it.
[2018-6-08. : 11:55 pm]
Moose -- I think most of them are able to change but they value other things more. Making decisions based on those priorities is a choice.
[2018-6-08. : 11:55 pm]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Do you think it's easier to eat and drink sugary shit, not exercise, and play vidya or fap or anime or whatever all day? Welcome to the club. Lifestyle choices will have consequences. People have trouble thinking long-term.
there it is again. "the poeple chose this. They are too stupid to realize it has consequences." No!
[2018-6-08. : 11:54 pm]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: There's a multitude of adjectives that could possibly describe someone who knows what they should be doing but are choosing not to do it.
this is what I have a problem with: To think that fat people chose this lifestyle. It would be more correct to say that they hate their lifestyle but are unable to change it. And there's a ton of reasons, different for each person. So different even, that most people can't imagine them. And judgemental as people are, assume they must be lazy (or whichever attribute you deem politically correct enough).
[2018-6-08. : 11:54 pm]
Moose -- Do you think it's easier to eat and drink sugary shit, not exercise, and play vidya or fap or anime or whatever all day? Welcome to the club. Lifestyle choices will have consequences. People have trouble thinking long-term.
[2018-6-08. : 11:51 pm]
Moose -- Motivation is a classic problem, isn't it? Part of adulthood is realizing that you have priorities and only so much time to devote to them, so you make decisions based on those priorities, and your actions have consequences.
[2018-6-08. : 11:51 pm]
NudeRaider -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Dem0n Well I'd agree that a significant percentage would be able to do that, yeah. But it's also probably not enough for most obese persons.
*if nothing else changes
[2018-6-08. : 11:50 pm]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: NudeRaider And no, because I didn't call anyone dumb here, only you did when you were mocking me. :P
mocking? No I've overblown the meaning behind what you said to make a point. On the topic of people having trouble with obesity you note a rule that, if followed, would stop the problem. So to me that is implying that the people don't know that (dumb) or are not willing to follow it (lazy). What else was your intended purpose of your remark then?
[2018-6-08. : 11:44 pm]
NudeRaider -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: NudeRaider You really don't need help to walk 30 minutes a day.
Well I'd agree that a significant percentage would be able to do that, yeah. But it's also probably not enough for most obese persons.
[2018-6-08. : 11:44 pm]
Moose -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: do you think changing dumb to "irresponsible" makes a difference in your statement?
And no, because I didn't call anyone dumb here, only you did when you were mocking me. :P
[2018-6-08. : 11:42 pm]
NudeRaider -- but you're probably right that there's not much to discuss. You are convinced that people could if they just wanted it enough. It's what everyone thinks, afterall. I'm just glad that the medical society is slowly changing in that regard, and actually recognizes that it's a disease.
[2018-6-08. : 11:42 pm]
Dem0n -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: I'm not saying what you said is inaccurate, btw. But it's not that knowledge that these people need, it's help applying it.
You really don't need help to walk 30 minutes a day.
[2018-6-08. : 11:40 pm]
Moose -- There's a multitude of adjectives that could possibly describe someone who knows what they should be doing but are choosing not to do it.
[2018-6-08. : 11:39 pm]
NudeRaider -- do you think changing dumb to "irresponsible" makes a difference in your statement?
[2018-6-08. : 11:38 pm]
Moose -- Well, if either of us can figure out how to make people be responsible with their lives, there's some good fortune awaiting. Until then, not much to discuss.
[2018-6-08. : 11:31 pm]
NudeRaider -- I'm not saying what you said is inaccurate, btw. But it's not that knowledge that these people need, it's help applying it.
[2018-6-08. : 11:28 pm]
NudeRaider -- more wisdom! Why haven't you said so sooner? All the people we could have cured! Seriously stop being all high and mighty "be like me" judgemental. It's not a question of physics, it's about a person. What you do is generalize. "All fatties - no, there are exceptions, but all the OTHER fatties, are just either dumb or lazy." Really? Sure might apply to some, for a good portion it's a problem they try to overcome their entire lives, and often are afraid to take, or aren't offered professional help because they feel ashamed.
[2018-6-08. : 11:19 pm]
jjf28 -- oh so you're a physicist then?
[2018-6-08. : 11:16 pm]
Moose -- I ain't no nutritionist but I can't imagine a majority of people are operating outside thermodynamics
[2018-6-08. : 11:15 pm]
Moose -- Some people have legitimate diseases and disabilities and shit, but plenty of people can't find 30 minutes a day to exercise or count calories but can find 30 minutes a day to bitch on the internet no problem LMAO
[2018-6-08. : 11:14 pm]
Moose -- calories out > calories in, one plan that works for everyone, get measuring and get to work
[2018-6-08. : 11:11 pm]
NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Ya, can eat a ton if you make sure your body using it tbh
great, knowing is half the battle, now we just need a couple hundred million individual plans, and we'll have cured obesity. SEN will be great again!
[2018-6-08. : 11:03 pm]
NudeRaider -- Jack
Jack shouted: Yeah having thoughts that you are aware are irrational is quite an eye-opening experience. And you can't just stop thinking those thoughts without something to drown them out, like working really hard or drugs
this
[2018-6-08. : 11:03 pm]
NudeRaider -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: also NudeRaider NudeRaider NudeRaider Iwas joking D:
I know: "You're probably not one of them, "
[2018-6-08. : 11:03 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- maybe I should mix some HCl and milk and see how much it curdles just from the lowered pH alone
[2018-6-08. : 11:02 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- idk how true that is, especially since I don't think adults have rennet or w/e in their stomachs
[2018-6-08. : 11:00 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- just eat milk. It curdles in your stomach and so it keeps you full for longer
[2018-6-08. : 10:58 pm]
Moose -- Ya, can eat a ton if you make sure your body using it tbh
[2018-6-08. : 10:57 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: I just lift heavy shit and eat what I want and it balance out well LMAO
walking up mountains is fun, you could do that too
[2018-6-08. : 10:56 pm]
Moose -- I just lift heavy shit and eat what I want and it balance out well LMAO
[2018-6-08. : 10:55 pm]
Jack -- It's easy for me to not eat, I don't usually get hungry I just get tired
[2018-6-08. : 10:55 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- also NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: and unless you're affected by that malfunction you'll have a hard time understanding what it means and how it's like for those affected.
NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: it's the same with psychological disorders. Depression, anxieties and such. Some people just go "oh cmon, just go out, you'll feel better". And the person would love to do just that but can't. It's completely irrational, even for the people themselves. You can't understand it, because it's a malfunction.
NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: *no idea how hard it is to fight your needs, simply because they have don't have those needs nagging you constantly.
Iwas joking D:
[2018-6-08. : 10:54 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: FaRTy1billion ... You're probably not one of them, but people have no idea how hard it is to fight your own needs all day, every day. If it were just a simple "oh eat a bit less or that, skip a bit of this" we wouldn't see so many people become obese. What people forget is that nobody likes being fat, and most fat people have tried to lose weight by any number of ways. The thing is how different it is from person to person. For some people a few small changes work, but others need a complete lifestyle change where others don't have to work on their habits at all.
wait, ignoring millions of years of evolution telling you to eat goddamn everything right now for survival is hard?
[2018-6-08. : 10:53 pm]
Jack -- Yeah having thoughts that you are aware are irrational is quite an eye-opening experience. And you can't just stop thinking those thoughts without something to drown them out, like working really hard or drugs
[2018-6-08. : 10:52 pm]

FaRTy1billion shouted: NudeRaider why? just eat less xD

[2018-6-08. : 10:36 pm]
ClansAreForGays -- I like fat animals
[2018-6-08. : 10:36 pm]
Ultraviolet -- we have two cats, one is crazy about food, the other likes it, but just knows it will come when it comes.. So the one who always bothers us about food ends up getting the smaller half of all the cans of food since he's a dick :P
[2018-6-08. : 10:35 pm]
Ultraviolet -- lol
[2018-6-08. : 10:19 pm]
Dem0n -- he gets more food than his sister and she hates it
[2018-6-08. : 10:19 pm]
Dem0n -- one of the cats I'm watching right now was fat so he went on a diet and now he's too skinny
[2018-6-08. : 10:02 pm]
Moose -- If they big
[2018-6-08. : 9:51 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- do cats do that?
[2018-6-08. : 9:48 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- Lanthanide
Lanthanide shouted: I guess you're one of these skinny people who are skinny 'cause they don't get hungry and forget to eat
The big cat diet :P
[2018-6-08. : 9:44 pm]
jjf28 -- gaaaaaaaaiiins
[2018-6-08. : 8:48 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I tried to gain weight once, but eating that much was hard
[2018-6-08. : 8:47 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I don't think much about calories or losing weight so idk
[2018-6-08. : 7:56 pm]
Pr0nogo -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: NudeRaider why? just eat less xD
if you're not eating too many calories then this isn't the greatest advice, but nude's specific situation is something only he's aware of
[2018-6-08. : 7:55 pm]
Pr0nogo -- yeah intermittent fasting is a good way to lose weight, you can eat the same number of calories but doing it less often helps reduce insulin spikes
[2018-6-08. : 7:48 pm]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- but imagine how good it will be when you've forgotten to eat all day, and then finally do O_O
[2018-6-08. : 7:44 pm]
Vrael -- food so good
