Roy -- Azrael
Azrael shouted: Roy Why not just make it a fair game? It's easy to balance properly: Make the values of every board add up to 980.
Most of the boards add up to or over 980.
[2014-10-17. : 4:18 pm]
Azrael -- If it says the highest box remaining is 600, people are going to talk about it in the shoutbox and start caring about it enough to participate more.
[2014-10-17. : 4:17 pm]
Azrael -- You could even introduce a "Risk Factor" value displayed for each board, which is based on how many 0's are available. It could also show the "highest box remaining" to push people into accepting the high-risk high-reward scenario.
[2014-10-17. : 4:16 pm]
Azrael -- Then you can have low-risk low-yield boards, and high-risk high-yield boards.
[2014-10-17. : 4:15 pm]
Azrael -- This can be done to every board as long as it doesn't have a box worth 1000+.
[2014-10-17. : 4:14 pm]
Azrael -- Roy
Roy shouted: And Magic Boxes look terrible today. Maybe we should get rid of the high jackpot boards and go for a lower-risk/lower-yield model.
Why not just make it a fair game? It's easy to balance properly: Make the values of every board add up to 980.

Roy -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: damn roy, how'd you convince microsoft to move to patch-friday so quickly
I'm a trendsetter.
[2014-10-17. : 4:12 pm]
Azrael -- Ahh that could be the case ;)
[2014-10-17. : 4:12 pm]
Azrael -- "Vrael -- Az maybe they just want more people to participate -per round- but less people to participate overall?"A
[2014-10-17. : 4:09 pm]
jjf28 -- damn roy, how'd you convince microsoft to move to patch-friday so quickly

Dem0n -- FlameViper
FlameViper shouted: The backup database appears empty and there's no ''load/open'' option. I still have the files though. What do I do?
if your map is ever corrupted, opening and saving it in staredit will fix the problem. granted, you'll lose any improperly placed units/doodads, but it's better than losing your entire map.
[2014-10-17. : 3:59 pm]
Sacrieur -- a ten box? no wai
[2014-10-17. : 3:23 pm]
Wing Zero -- "You have not enough minerals"
[2014-10-17. : 3:23 pm]
Wing Zero -- My count: 15 minerals
[2014-10-17. : 3:23 pm]
Wing Zero -- Raffle price: 10 minerals
[2014-10-17. : 2:02 pm]
FlameViper -- Oh alright. I changed the filename from .tmp to .scx and now I can open it.
[2014-10-17. : 1:57 pm]
FlameViper -- The backup database appears empty and there's no ''load/open'' option. I still have the files though. What do I do?
[2014-10-17. : 1:49 pm]
Roy -- Your map is corrupted, FlameViper. Try restoring a backup from ScmDraft.
[2014-10-17. : 1:48 pm]
Roy -- Generalpie
Generalpie shouted: I like this smiley, did you make it? :roy:
Yeah, back when we were trolling payne with non-orange smilies.
[2014-10-17. : 12:42 pm]
FlameViper -- When I try to play, it gives me scenario invalid and when I open it with any editor it creates a .tmp file
[2014-10-17. : 12:34 pm]
FlameViper -- Apparently scmdraft 2 says my map is protected, which I didn't do. Guess I'll need an unprotection program, any suggestions?
[2014-10-17. : 12:15 pm]
Generalpie -- of my thought*
[2014-10-17. : 12:15 pm]
Generalpie -- I could probably make a bot with my thought process when I shout
[2014-10-17. : 12:14 pm]
Generalpie -- I can pull my hair under my chin and barely tie a knot under it
[2014-10-17. : 12:13 pm]
Generalpie -- My hair's getting a bit longish
[2014-10-17. : 12:10 pm]
Generalpie -- I like this smiley, did you make it? :roy:
[2014-10-17. : 12:10 pm]
Generalpie -- ***
[2014-10-17. : 12:10 pm]
Generalpie -- pun!
[2014-10-17. : 12:10 pm]
Generalpie -- It's also a bun!
[2014-10-17. : 12:10 pm]
Generalpie -- :roy:
[2014-10-17. : 12:09 pm]
Roy -- :roy:
[2014-10-17. : 12:09 pm]
Roy -- Nice meta-humor.
[2014-10-17. : 12:09 pm]
Generalpie -- So that way, when I win I can rake in that sweet, sweet cache
[2014-10-17. : 12:08 pm]
Generalpie -- But I think that's hitting the high point, and fewer members can get into the raffle
[2014-10-17. : 12:08 pm]
Generalpie -- 30 would be best
[2014-10-17. : 12:08 pm]
Generalpie -- Or just have the high risk box set be a rarity
[2014-10-17. : 12:08 pm]
Roy -- Why not 30?
[2014-10-17. : 12:07 pm]
Generalpie -- It actually is a great raffle. I think the ticket price should be 20 for this one, but 10 is okay, too
[2014-10-17. : 12:06 pm]
Roy -- I guess I'll play a box, just because.
[2014-10-17. : 12:06 pm]
Roy -- And Magic Boxes look terrible today. Maybe we should get rid of the high jackpot boards and go for a lower-risk/lower-yield model.
[2014-10-17. : 12:04 pm]
Roy -- I'll need to actually look into balancing the raffle sometime, because it's more often a money sink than not.
[2014-10-17. : 12:03 pm]
Roy -- That's a pretty good raffle.
[2014-10-17. : 11:07 am]
Generalpie -- The raffle multiplier is >1 too :O
[2014-10-17. : 11:06 am]

[2014-10-17. : 9:57 am]
trgk -- We don't move SCV with key detection. We detect the key with SCV movement.
[2014-10-17. : 9:56 am]
trgk -- So, I pushed an right-click event to the command queue as I detected the key.
[2014-10-17. : 9:53 am]
trgk -- Which is described here : https://github.com/bwapi/bwapi/blob/master/bwapi/BWAPI/Source/DLLMain.cpp
[2014-10-17. : 9:50 am]
trgk -- But for theory, I implemented QueueGameCommand function with EUD.
[2014-10-17. : 9:49 am]
trgk -- I can't tell you yet how this exactly works.
[2014-10-17. : 9:49 am]
trgk -- See : http://www.staredit.net/topic/16214/1/#25
[2014-10-17. : 9:48 am]
Roy -- trgk
trgk shouted: Great, I made a multipler key recognizer with EUD.
How's it work?
[2014-10-17. : 7:51 am]
Lanthanide -- ah, yeah, truncating the north makes a big difference
[2014-10-17. : 7:49 am]
Lanthanide -- is it supposed to look like the UK?
[2014-10-17. : 7:40 am]
sigsaucy -- had to skew the north, but nobody cares about that place anyways
[2014-10-17. : 7:39 am]
sigsaucy -- i think ive managed to do a pretty decent westeros map
[2014-10-17. : 7:24 am]
Lanthanide -- this is great: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lK475dxZds
[2014-10-17. : 6:54 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- wat, his question was already answered xD
[2014-10-17. : 6:53 am]
Sacrieur -- it only displays for the players who run the trigger
[2014-10-17. : 6:50 am]
Sacrieur -- display text is a local action
[2014-10-17. : 5:06 am]
sigsaucy -- ok, as i thought
[2014-10-17. : 5:06 am]
sigsaucy -- if condition X is ment, will the text be displayed for all players?
[2014-10-17. : 5:06 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- it will run only for player 1 (or the lowest active player)
[2014-10-17. : 5:06 am]
sigsaucy -- if i have a trigger owned by all players: CONDITION: X SET, ACTION: DISPLAY TEXT, UNSET X
[2014-10-17. : 5:05 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- also with soylent I'll be eating way better than just pasta, bread, rice, donuts, and chocolate milk.
[2014-10-17. : 5:04 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- If anything I should gain some more weight
