[2016-11-14. : 6:52 am]
CecilSunkure -- OK well I'm a really thick guy
[2016-11-14. : 6:51 am]
Lanthanide -- he eggs his followers on, and then pretends not to be culpable for the increase in hate crimes
[2016-11-14. : 6:51 am]
Lanthanide -- Trump whipping up racist views
[2016-11-14. : 6:51 am]
Lanthanide -- Immediately the offensive #elizabethwarrenindiannames hashtag flared with faux Indian names for Warren, especially among Trump's 8.25 million Twitter followers. Whether or not Warren is, in fact, Native American is still subject of debate in and out of Indian country, but it is beside the point. We are talking about Native Americans once again being belittled in the mainstream, and this time by a leading presidential candidate.
[2016-11-14. : 6:50 am]
KrayZee -- Oh and this article about abortion in debate
[2016-11-14. : 6:48 am]
Lanthanide -- denigrating native american tribes that were competing with his financial interests
[2016-11-14. : 6:48 am]
Lanthanide -- Slate’s Josh Voorhees raised an important point about all of this: “In the big bucket of Trump-sanctioned racism, a mock war cry from a guy who introduced the guy who introduced the candidate is but a drop. Still, if this were anyone but Trump we were talking about, he or she would be pressured to condemn the remarks. Trump, though, has dulled everyone’s senses with a year’s worth of controversy, so this barely registers.” And that’s a shame. Casual, everyday racism should be shocking, not routine.
[2016-11-14. : 6:47 am]
CecilSunkure -- what was his past stance?
[2016-11-14. : 6:47 am]
Lanthanide -- from my googling, it looks like Trump's stance against native americans is mostly historical, rather than anything he's said/done recently, aside from the pocahontas remark
[2016-11-14. : 6:47 am]
CecilSunkure -- Well he said Pocahontas as an attack on her claim to heritage
[2016-11-14. : 6:46 am]
KrayZee -- 'Libtard'... dumb namecalling.
[2016-11-14. : 6:46 am]
KrayZee -- "Killary". Lol
[2016-11-14. : 6:46 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- "Crooked Hillary" isn't even creative
[2016-11-14. : 6:45 am]
Lanthanide -- but it was more a specific insult to Warren, rather than against native americans as a group
[2016-11-14. : 6:45 am]
Lanthanide -- yes, when it's used in a demeaning fashion, based on their race
[2016-11-14. : 6:45 am]
Lanthanide -- This election season, as Trump doled out nicknames to "Little Marco," "Lyin' Ted", and "Crooked Hillary," he reserved a special one for Sen. Elizabeth Warren: "Pocahontas."
[2016-11-14. : 6:45 am]
Lanthanide -- Trump's vendetta didn't stop there. The New York Times reported that in 2000, Trump financed ads portraying members of a Native American tribe as menacing criminals in an effort to stop construction on a casino that was planned in upstate New York.
[2016-11-14. : 6:44 am]
CecilSunkure -- Is calling someone Pocahontas an example?
[2016-11-14. : 6:44 am]
KrayZee -- I'm watching a video right now, my train of thought is off in this shoutbox.
[2016-11-14. : 6:43 am]
CecilSunkure -- Pocahontas
[2016-11-14. : 6:43 am]
Lanthanide -- that's all you had to say
[2016-11-14. : 6:43 am]
Lanthanide -- KrayZee
KrayZee shouted: For one thing, he's openly racist. Especially towards Native Americans.
ok, racism against native americans
[2016-11-14. : 6:43 am]
KrayZee -- It could be one remark or another. Trump said a lot of things.
[2016-11-14. : 6:42 am]
KrayZee -- KrayZee
KrayZee shouted: He doesn't need to be offended, he can have Stockholm syndrome...
unless he has stockholm syndome....*
[2016-11-14. : 6:42 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I thought all this shit would be over after the election, it's just exploded even more ;o
[2016-11-14. : 6:42 am]
Lanthanide -- you know, save you the time you say you dont' have
[2016-11-14. : 6:42 am]
Lanthanide -- once you tell me, I will try an google it
[2016-11-14. : 6:42 am]
KrayZee -- Search it up
[2016-11-14. : 6:42 am]
Lanthanide -- no, I don't know what you're saying Trump said
[2016-11-14. : 6:41 am]
KrayZee -- It's called google, Lanthanide.
[2016-11-14. : 6:41 am]
KrayZee -- He doesn't need to be offended, he can have Stockholm syndrome...
[2016-11-14. : 6:41 am]
Lanthanide -- no, what were Trump;'s remarks?
[2016-11-14. : 6:41 am]
KrayZee -- eh whatever.
[2016-11-14. : 6:41 am]
KrayZee -- For one thing, Cecil's ethnicity is native american, and why isn't he outraged over Trump's remarks?
[2016-11-14. : 6:40 am]
Lanthanide -- what's your claim, KrayZee?
[2016-11-14. : 6:40 am]
KrayZee -- Do whatever you do.
[2016-11-14. : 6:39 am]
KrayZee -- If the Washington Post is some "Left wing media propaganda", then whatever...
[2016-11-14. : 6:39 am]
KrayZee -- I don't know, you tell me. It's the Washington Post.
[2016-11-14. : 6:38 am]
CecilSunkure -- Was the last website I went to misleading?
[2016-11-14. : 6:38 am]
KrayZee -- Use it, just don't go to misleading websites.
[2016-11-14. : 6:38 am]
KrayZee -- We have this thing called the internet.
[2016-11-14. : 6:38 am]
KrayZee -- You have so much time in your hands, you can find information on your own.
[2016-11-14. : 6:37 am]
KrayZee -- I'm not being rude.
[2016-11-14. : 6:37 am]
KrayZee -- I don't want to, I'm watching a video right now.
[2016-11-14. : 6:37 am]
CecilSunkure -- I put in the effort.
[2016-11-14. : 6:37 am]
CecilSunkure -- You didn't put in effort!
[2016-11-14. : 6:37 am]
CecilSunkure -- You didn't provide evidence yet. you made me go searching for it. That's not fair
[2016-11-14. : 6:37 am]
KrayZee -- You're giving me more effort, and if you deny... it's not worth my time.
[2016-11-14. : 6:36 am]
KrayZee -- This conversation is like talking about evolution and creationism. There's evidence lying around everywhere, but people who believe in creationism will either deny or ask me to provide more evidence.
[2016-11-14. : 6:36 am]
CecilSunkure -- It's not really fair to make me find something to support your point. You have already looked into this topic! You brought it up! So you should easily link to me
[2016-11-14. : 6:35 am]
CecilSunkure -- If you want me to look at something, please give me exactly what you want
[2016-11-14. : 6:35 am]
CecilSunkure -- KrayZee
KrayZee shouted: I'm not going to put any more effort in this 'conversation'.
OK but I'm genuinely asking why I should be upset, but you're not being specific
[2016-11-14. : 6:34 am]
CecilSunkure -- I tihnk in the US it is 1/16th?
[2016-11-14. : 6:34 am]
Lanthanide -- (or more, obviously)
[2016-11-14. : 6:34 am]
KrayZee -- I'm not going to put any more effort in this 'conversation'.
[2016-11-14. : 6:34 am]
Lanthanide -- in NZ you're considered to be a native if you've got 1/32 blood lineage
[2016-11-14. : 6:34 am]
CecilSunkure -- So there's gotta be a different video
[2016-11-14. : 6:33 am]
CecilSunkure -- And the idea that there are false claims makes me way angrier than Trump trying to defend my heritage's authenticity
[2016-11-14. : 6:33 am]
CecilSunkure -- Okay KrayZee, maybe there's a better example, but in this video Trump is saying people are falsely claiming to be Native
[2016-11-14. : 6:32 am]
Lanthanide -- and IIRC, most people on SEN agreed with him
[2016-11-14. : 6:32 am]
Lanthanide -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: KrayZee oh naive KrayZee, didn't you know that CO2 cools the earth, and we're actually experiencing a global cooling? Al Gore is lying to us to line his pockets with evil stupid lying money
I think it was only about 18 months ago that Apoc was trying to convince me that all the scientists were in on a global conspiracy to increase grant funding by inventing climate change
[2016-11-14. : 6:30 am]
CecilSunkure -- Alright he's talking about people that are falsely claiming to be Native here
[2016-11-14. : 6:29 am]
KrayZee -- How about clicking "I'm feeling lucky"
[2016-11-14. : 6:28 am]
KrayZee -- -.-
[2016-11-14. : 6:28 am]
CecilSunkure -- I cant find a video where he said it
[2016-11-14. : 6:27 am]
KrayZee -- Just google 'trump native american', that's it. You don't even need to write "racism"
[2016-11-14. : 6:27 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- and I was like "it's so hard to find information, I bet I could find tons of information if I searched some crazy conspiracy stance, they research the hell out of goddamn everything"
