[New Campaign] StarCraft: Chronicles

I am making a campaign for StarCraft called StarCraft: Chronicles. My campaign is about the 4 year gap between StarCraft: BroodWar and StarCraft II. You will get to play as all of the factions as you see from the perspective of new commanders for each race. You will get to see many incredible events, such as Raynor's rebellion against the Terran Dominion, to the never-ending war between the Protoss and the Zerg Swarm. I hope you all enjoy my campaign when it is finished.

The campaign will be in 3 chapters, with 7 - 10 acts, or missions, in them. Each chapter will have a new race to play as, as well as new commanders.

Terran: You play as the Captain of the Terran Dominion's most elite fighting force, the 401st Interstellar Division. You fight alongside Amy Kerrigan(you can take guesses of who she is) as you prevent attacks by the Protoss, Raynor's Raiders, and the Zerg Swarm.

Zerg: You play as a new Cerebrate who has been born into the Swarm. You prove to Kerrigan that you are more valuble than the other Cerebrates, and she entrusts you with carrying out complex tasks that leads your faction closer to victory.

Protoss: Zeratul and a small band of Protoss warriors have left the safety of Shakuras in the hands of Artanis. Zeratul and his forces search the Koprulu Sector in search of the Kal' Taras artifacts, ancient treasures said to contain the souls of the Xel' Naga, the creators of the Zerg and Protoss. With the Xel' Naga's guidance and wisdom, the Protoss will have a good chance at defeating the Queen of Blades, and her demented minions known as the Zerg...

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new :lol:
