i tried to change my sig image, but when i uploaded my new one, it still showed up as my old one. i then tried removing the signature then uploading it again, but that caused a white error page with a number, like 72601 or something similar.

Try deleting temp files after you change and refresh.

This happened to me before but I fixed it, I dunno how I did it.

Your old sig gets kept in cache, and is automatically displayed whenever an image of the right name or whatever is seen, to reduce loading the same image a lot of time. Clearing the cache or waiting fixes it.
