In the next few months I wish to buy a laptop (finally.) I don't know any good sites (Newegg) that are UK based and could do with some help striking a deal. PCWorld would be the easiest bet for me as it's the easiest to get to. The refurbised laptop section I believe is the cheaper section.
Anyway all i'm looking to do is have a computer capable of SC and other basic games (fuck crysis lol) and stuff like surfing the web, youtube, watching videos, downloading illegal music and such and fourth. My main gaming console is going to be XBOX (or atleast til I can afford a desktop)
My budget is roughly 300 to 350 pounds.
I'm looking at a decent processor, 2GB of RAM or more and a decent graphics card.
Help please? Suggestions

a computer capable of SC and other basic games
You realize SC is 10 years old? The requirements given by blizzard entertainment are this:
Quote from name:Starcraft Manual.pdf
Pentium 90 MHZ processor or equivelent.
Windos 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista.
16 MB of RAM
A keyboard and mouse are required. Joysticks, game pads, graphic tablets, and input devices other than the mouse and keyboard are not supported.
A hard drive with 80 MB of disk space available and a 2x CD-ROM drve are necessary for installation and play. A 4x speed CD-ROM is necessary to view cinematic sequences.
Starcraft requires a Local-bus SVGA video card that supports DirectDraw. You must have DirectX 2.0 or better installed on your system to play the game.
StarCraft will work with any DirectX 7.0 or better compatible sound card.
Access to lizzard Entertainment's online gaming service, Battle.net, requires a low-latency, active Internet connection, rated at 28.8 kbps or faster. Multiplayer games plaed over a LAN require an active connection to a TCP/IP network.
90 MHZ.

Then it shouldn't be a problem, but some help would have been nice.

I would not recommend an Atom processor for any gaming, period.
At the most I'm looking at 400 to 500 but that will take longer to get, but at that point I'd rather get a desktop.
None.
Get any kind of dual core. Atom, while energy efficient, only offers a few dual cores, and I haven't seen many netbooks with that particular processor. However, The eeepc 1000 he is hard to pass up.
You can always go for the hobo build desktop.
