SCMDraft - Space Crash

Hello

So, I opened SCM-Draft and wanted to make a new map, on Space with the standart tileset: space terrain.
The problem: when I want to create a map with the standart tileset space terrain (the sort of terrain the map consits of at the beginning) it immediately crashes.

When I make a space map with different standart-terran (but still space-wolrd) it doesn't crash, but as soon as I want to place space it crashes again.
I've already re-downloaded SCM -Draft 2...
What to do / how to fix?

SI has to fix this. Use an older version of ScmDraft for the time being.

I cant reproduce, but I had some funky issues with a nonclean build the other day that may be related. I;ll update the download later this week and you guys check if it still happens.

Try as a workaround loading a map wityh the space tileset and then creating a new one, see if that helps.

This happened to me too. I downloaded the file from the Scmdraft topic a couple days ago and it worked, so I guess it's fixed. :)

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
