It's finally here! After a lot of work and late nights I proudly present to you Ascension of Duran: Dark Purposes. This is the second Ascension of Duran campaign in the series and has custom sound, graphics and challenging game play.

I rarely even play campaigns anymore, but this is epic. I enjoyed the custom music and its feel it gave the first map in this series.

I just finished playing through the campaign, here's my check list:

Fun? Yes.
Great Music? Yes.
Good Story Line? Yes.
Typos? Yes.
Challenging? No, except for that damn teleporter installation stage.

Overall great work, brought me back to SC.

I would but it doesn't fit the requirements of the campaign. I am making a new one for this.

I will be adding custom Ai scripts to my next campaign providing I have some decent help in doing so, so this should quench your challenge thirsts.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically
