Well, just downloaded the latest Firefox beta, and it looks like they're starting to go in the direction Chrome did, it definitely renders pages faster than the previous version, I think Firefox is going to at least catch up with Chrome in speed with this new version.

I'm running 31 addons right now, which isn't all of mine, due to compatibility issues, and it's running very smoothly, the older version would skip on youtube videos, and that isn't happening with this one. With those add-ons, with a SEN page open(this one), it's taking 239 MB of RAM, about 10 MB less than its predecessor, although it has less add-ons, so my guess is that they're about the same.

Doing what chrome did is exactly it.

This version (which was originally called 3.1) has, like Chrome, a virtual machine in which javascript is compiled. Apparently the trace monkey VM that this Fx uses is even faster than V8 in Chrome, but it remains to be seen if the Gecko engine in this Fx will let it get past webkit in Chrome.

If it doesn't crash all the time like firefox 3 does I might have to check it out. I miss Firefox 2... it ran so damn well and then I upgraded to 3 and firefox has been shit since.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
