Suggestion for Rook as to a new Topic, if everyone hates the prison/camp thing.


How about "World Wonders of the Ancient World"????
Yes, World is repeated.
I always thought that would have been a cool topic, trying to re-create man's best works of structure/art.
It would bring about varied maps, so not everyone does the same thing, but still keeps it to a general topic so it's easy to grade.

Wow these competitions are really going down hill to hell, and not because of the themes but the people....

Anyway, here is my submission for the creature, it is a snake.


Here is my prison, probably could work on some things, its pretty blocky and ugly, but that sounds like a pretty good description of a modern prison so i think it fits :)


Its been along time since ive done any terraining, and i kinda abandoned all this, but this was a chance to do badlands and hopefully some more people submit so we can revive the competitions.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically
