Anyway, updated some details in the first post about 'Mystery Boxes"

They are pretty sweet. Progress on this map has been delayed due to me starting at a new job, but it's coming along.

Also: Added 3 new screenshots.

Map Update: Completed Mystery Box system, altered Troop commanding system to increase the speed of the game.
Began work on the spells. Spell combo system completed. First post edited with names of spells.

Map Updates:

•Fixed a Critical Grammatical error in the in-game information for the dagger.
•Adjusted Prices for things you can spend War Earning on.
•Completed 20 more spells, 29/39 spells completed.
•Dagger and Katana are fully ready to use.
•Modified War Earnings gained from various troops.
•Modified War Earnings bonuses gained from troops.
•Changed time for Medical Pad to recharge from 90Seconds --> 60Seconds.
•Changed Reinforcement stats (Particularly lvl2 and lvl4).
•Changed armor of Rabid Wolf to 1.
•Changed armor of Avenger to 5.
•Reconfigured Mission briefings for all players.
•Implemented Auto-Troop Training to increase speed of the game.
•Removed exploit involving commanding troops to deprive other team of any kills.
•Katana now starts with 50% shields instead of 0%.
•Fixed a critical bug where computers wouldn't attack each due to vision issues.



AND--- That's it for now >< That was a big update. I am in crucial need of testers tho, so anyone who Likes to do that... Let me know.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
