Ugh, I can't believe they killed off Jin and Sun. So sad. The end is getting close! I wonder what Desmond will do...

WOW. So much of Jacob's and the Man in Black's story were told in this episode. It was great, except for the fact that I really wanted to see what's going on in the present timeline. I can't believe Jacob's "mother" and brother are the Adam and Eve skeletons!

Sooo... Finale was crazy. Ima just type out what I'm fairly certain happened. It took me and my brother about 10 minutes after the end to figure it out between the two of us.

Collapsable Box

Overall it was a good ending. Personally, I'm not too happy with the idea that the whole alternate timeline is purgatory and they're all dead there. I'd rather it be real and they're all alive there in whatever it's supposed to be.

Anyway, instead of dwelling on interpreting the nature of the alternate timeline, I like to focus on the relationships between the characters themselves and how they found each other, because that was what I found to be the most satisfying.

The finale was better at creating a reunion between all the characters than at giving answers to all the questions.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
