I was wanting to do a few things related to Bunkers/Transports, And I wanted to know, How do I edit what units can go into a bunker, And How many can go into it? I tried just editing the max number in Datedit, But that obviously didn't work perfectly o.o.

Edit: Well, I can fit units to the default max of 8, but the wireframes and such don't show up past 8, So How would I edit them to fit more then 8?

You don't. And if I recall, you crash when you try to unload units while carrying more than 8.

As for the bunker thing, it MIGHT be possible with FireGraft and EXE edits. Or, the effect of vehicles inside a bunker can be emulated by, e.g., making a Marine look and take up the same space as a Vulture, essentially having the Vulture's stats replacing the stats of ID 0 of units.dat.

You can edit the capacity, but only a maximum of 8 wireframes will show. The Bunker, by default, is hardcoded to only accept 1-slot Terran units, and only the Marine, Firebat, and Ghost IDs are allowed to fire out from the Bunker. I know DoA worked on EXE Edits related to the Bunker, but I'm not sure they're in the current release of FireGraft.

They won't make it until I can stop turret units from crashing when attacking from inside a bunker(goliath/siege tanks).

As far as to make a unit not fit, I think Blizzard had put in 255 for the size of those units.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
