This is the layout and terrain for my upcoming AoS style map. Check it out and comments are welcome. There are a few things you should know before you judge it though.

1. The thing is that each team will have 1 main base. The locations of these are indicated.
2. There will be 2 available outposts up for grabs. These will be on the top left and bottom right corners.
3. The center area will produce spawns for each team. The spawner there will be killable but not capture-able.
4. The center area is designed for late-game PvP
5. The console for players is located on the bottom of the map.

6. I suck at extending terrain so go easy on me; i tried my hardest =)
7. Oh and it's 3 lane style, the lanes are connected.

Please rate and comment.

The layout is good I think. But I wouldn't know cause I don't really play these kind of games. But terrain wise, very blocky (no offense). You could probably get someone to improve it for you. O.o

Relatively ancient and inactive

I don't really do terrain, but I noticed that in several places you had grass that was right next to dirt, and the the transition was blocky. Really easy to fix.

I think it is rather good, but there a lot of places (for example the cliff to grass) could be and should be fixed to look less ugly.

You need to really work on blending the terrain better in lots of parts and fixing the choppiness of the terrain. Also are there clear paths that the units will take in this aos? I didn't see any.

None.

Hello

Well, the "ideas" are good (but not rly new) and it's blocky. Train your blends-skills.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
