how do you create campaigns for single mode (with and without expansion)

you create campaigns then u place them under capaigns\ tag...

since I haven't modded for so long i forgot what exactly is the tag.....

but yeah..

Triggers... You use the Set Next Scenario action (or something like that). It's not modding at all...

I was going to post a topic on this too... but here are my questions:
Do you need to save the map as anything different?
Can you edit the number of missions?
How do you choose what video plays after what misson?

Look in the .mpq on the BW cd. It shows that you need to save your maps as .chks. The number of missions selectable missions cannot change, but you can have an infinite amount of maps as a campaign by use of Set Next Scenario. Notice how .wavs have a specific format too (as in their file name).

i found the maps but when i try to play them it doesn't play the maps i put in

Open your map in WinMPQ and extract the .chk file in it. Now put that into your mod's MPQ with the right folder location and make sure its for the right version of SC.

can you add more videos or is there any way to link them? In my mod im only having one campaign, and i have to use BroodWar, so could i use the terran, zerg, and protoss end videos all in one campaign?

I've never really delved deep into editting the videos, but I'm guessing its all hardcoded; so, unless you want to do some testing on your own to find the pointers to the videos, then well, your stuck with what you got :P

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
