If you mean adding buttons to units, yes. There is a program called Firegraft that lets you edit the button sets of units and buildings. However, it only works on Starcraft versions 1.14, 1.15, and 1.15.1. So your mod will not be able to be run on the latest version if you use it. Firegraft also has the capability to edit certain aspects of starcraft controlled by the executable, such as the capacity of carriers.

Also, be aware that the computer AI does not use buttons. Instead, it uses unit/building requirements directly.

it depends on what u mean, if you mean add something like move, attack, or patrol, stuff like that to a building, then yes, use firegraft to edit buttonsets

if you are trying to create a new KIND of command, like patrolling between three points, then no...

SCD3 (Starcraft Downgrader 3) can downgrade your starcraft version. I recommend using 1.15.1, as it is the latest version that Firegraft works on. If you make it on 1.14, my computer will probably hate your mod (by giving me an error screen: Cannot find file called "unit\" !!!)

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
