Eat it. :P

That's just as big as it gets my texture collection :P

Contact me via MSN or something with more specific details on what you want. I'm not going to randomly post over 350MBs of metal textures >> <<

I'd also move this to creative *cough KK cough*

fuck you all

lrn2google :P

No, I'm being serious. You can find textures on Google easily. For example, my Phoenix model's texture came from a Vorlon transport from Babylon 5. I just googled "Vorlon ship" and looked until I found a large enough image, then copied a rectangular area from the image to my model.

The Enterprise or a Borg Cube from Star Trek would both be good place to look for metalic textures. Or maybe Andromeda Ascendant from Andromeda. Maybe you could use solar panels. Or you could use Space Platform terrain.

Organic textures are somewhat harder. It took me a while before I thought of using a Vorlon ship. Try pictures of RL animals, especially sharks and stuff. Or you can take Vorlon texture like I did. The Shadow Battlecrab (also from Babylon 5) has a pretty cool texture as well, although it's hard to see (intentionally) when it's in space. The Zerg Spawning Pool, the Overmind, the Cerebrate, and the Overmind Cocoon models from SC also have textures you could probably use.

You could also probably find a modeling forum somewhere on the Interwebs which has a texture database.

None.

You are over 9000 percent epic. You just solved all my texturing problems with Biophysics. THANK YOU.

No no, they have a stand alone program now.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
