In the past I've had a Linksys router, which always refused to have its ports forwarded. Now I have a Netgear, that did work, and now that we switched to a new house / internet, refuses to work as well. We aren't going to discuss how to forward ports here, because yes I know how, yes I did it right / followed guides / checked it twice, and it just does not work.

I'd like suggestions for a good wireless capable gaming router that will forward properly. Like to spend about 100$ but its negotiable.

I've been using D-Links for years, and they've worked just fine for me, they're a lot cheaper than 100$ too

I been using the linksys wrt54g and wrt54g2 and they are like cheap and awesome.

Every Linksys I've had has failed within a couple of years. They also refused to port forward properly.

Lots of things fail within a couple of years (Maybe its not a firmware problem but a user problem that causes the port forward problem because you have two brands not working o.o)

Lol... I use a WUSB54GS, it works like a charm, and hey, it has 2 pros, it can actually port forward, and its cheap . Though its slow as hell (im getting 24 mbps, and this is a good day -.-)

I've followed all instructions to the letter. I've tried guides on multiple sites, tried multiple methods, and done the step-by-step on PortForward like, six times this week. It just doesn't work properly. I'm beginning to think my DSL modem has an internal firewall or something.
