I've been looking for a good hexeditor with which to edit some bitmaps, but have been running into some troubles - namely, not finding a, or any, good hexeditor/s with which to edit some bitmaps.
So, anyone suggest your favorite tools for this? I've tried Notepad++'s plugin ( version conflict ) , HexEdit ( too minimalistic ) , GSNote3 ( generally disliked the interface ) , and... a bunch more that don't stand out in memory.

PyMS and ProTRG developer

I've always used Hex Workshop, though I don't actually know what kind of features you are looking for.

Not much in particular. I'm thinking of something about as heavy as, maybe, Notepad. HexEdit doesn't even have hotkeys, save ( save-as only ) , or window controls ( cannot move or adjust size of window ) .

Textpad has a built in hex editor, though I'm not sure how powerful it is. I suggest Hex Workshop, I've been using it for years.

I like to use FlexHex, don't ask why though, it's basic, and I don't need much else. It's a trial, but I just delete it from the registry and reinstall it when I want to use it again, maybe it's not a good idea for someone who uses it alot though.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.
