Well beta was launched last 28th. Just started my download today.
Yeah, I know it's technically CoD4 under, just some WWII stuff above, but I want to see the new stuff they did.
So, anyone tried it yet?

None.

Yes. And its set on the Eastern and Pacific fronts. I hope Treyarch doesn't screw this one up.

Gasp! A WWII Call of Duty game that isn't in Germany? They had better keep it more awesome than Medal of Honor with this setting change.

Well, by Eastern front I meant playing as a Russian soldier. Fighting your way to Berlin.

I saw this a while back. Beta wasn't so great.
I honestly like CoD4 more.

I still haven't gotten my beta key. I don't know where it is supposed to be.

Actually, I didn't even receive a confirmation e-mail for making an account.

Wait, did you just sign up and get into the beta?

None.

Yea when you sign up, you should get your key right away. IMO, this beta has way too many problems. It took me a while to get it to run. After the install it said I was missing "dx3d_9.dll" or something like that. I'm running Vista with DX10, so kinda weird it's asking for DX9 file? After I got the dll from some site, I got an unhandled exception.

After I finally got it work somehow, after 2 minutes of playing, like 90 more COD: WAW opened up by themselves.

Eee I hate it :O!

Well uh my XP runs this fine. Like I said, It's completely like CoD4 MP, just some different era weapons. The kill streak rewards are more powerful now, like, the artillery barrage pummels everything in that area; and the dogs track ANYONE down. I'm still figuring out how to deploy a machine gun bipod.

So, am I the only one playing this?

None.

I'd like too, but it's hard when you can't get your key.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
