~~Map data~~

The map S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost is a diplomacy map. It means you have to a build an army and use diplomacy to annahilate your opponents. The opposition in this map will be several NPC factions, and 3 player controlled factions. In case you can't get a full house, you can start without 1 player - In case of such moments, the base will be given to the Bandit faction.

Each faction has a unique unit, NPC factions also have these. In case you capture the main base of the faction, you gain their special unit.

The Zone is divided in small sectors. Each sector has bases. Capturing these bases earns you Rubles, holding the bases grants you Rubles. Some bases are more strategicly usefull, due to their location. Be sure to control these!

You can defeat your rivals by killing their faction leader. Be aware, that these leaders are more powerfull then your standart Stalker, so beware!

I think the Stalker->SC port is an awesome idea...

I swear to god they were bribed to make the source code so inefficient you have to pay $200 to make your PC able to play it.

Yeah, and repeat the same thing, for a simple effect, a million times.

This is why I like Doom, the ACS in it is far more versatile.

Alright, added Red Forest, Yantar and the Army Werehouses. The Mutant spwaning system is a real chore, though.

Need moar artifacts, mutants.
You'd be better off naming it STALKER: Clear sky or STALKER: Fraction wars, as that is what you are apparently aiming for.

:)

There will be mutants, as for artifacts..

I want to name it Oblivion Lost, since the first title of STALKER was Oblivion Lost. :P

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
[2026-6-20. : 3:43 pm]
NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
