What are the different ways to add pictures to threads? Also, how do you make it so it simply shows the picture in a thread? (Instead of showing a link)

Neither they did for me so I just set the clan forums to view a board forums and not special view. Works pretty fine now.

You can change your settings to override the clan forums to look like normal forums, My Settings > Forum Settings > Forum display override

They load perfectly fine on my end on Safari/FireFox/IE on all 4 skins.
