Hello guys, I present to you one of my current maps in production, Ultimate Brawl X. The current version is 1.5, which fixes all the current bugs I know of, except for maybe Sound's 200 or 300. Since Ultimate Brawl is a combo map, for all you guys who don't know what combo is i'll explain it now.

Combo is when you use two moves at once, but not the same move. Beware, some moves have different times than others. For example, if you use a 50-mana spell along with a 100-mana spell it would only last maybe 5 seconds extra. But if you use a 100-mana spell after a 50-mana spell it would last longer, maybe even 10 extra seconds. You may combo with 3 moves, if you have enough mana. Some units have some of the best combos in the game, but that is for you to find out and me to abuse.. :D


The objective of the game is to kill your opponents with your 4 spells with your teamates. Each person gets about 4 lives, and when that is all over they can just sit and root for their team.

You may choose from many different characters, including:

Spirit
Speed
Water
Underworld
Nature
Sound
Fire
Mech
Stealth
Earth
Lightning

And more to come.. So I hope you download this map and play it! I've gotten good reviews so far, so I need some suggestions, comments, etc! Thanks!

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
