She can manifest burning arrows with fire she controls and can recall companions via a one-way time portal. The cloak is kinda like a hydralisk-ish look.

Ahh, I like that story a lot, and the picture (if you made it yourself) I think it has a good feeling, the only thing is that when I use archer, I feel like it COULD be a girl, but it'd have to be a slightly older girl , like if I read correctly, she's about 12? I think the archer in the game would be more 16-20 age IMO. Still good story/pic though =)

p.s. How would you like to make stories for my heroes? ^^

It is unfortunate that the hydralisks were made to be so bony and gruesome rather than looking like a naughty, bitchy girl who's the sucessor of a Pirate King...

other than that, Your art is very good, and your imagination is also very good.
You seem to always try to personify each character, giving them a meaning to be there..
I like that...

Don't listen to those critics :D... I think you got great story-writing skills and idea. They may not come very useful to this game, however... since the game itself does not offer much room to insert your stories...
If I am ever in need of any idea-assisstance, you'd probly be the first one I'd ask on this forum (altho I only make maps when I'm overflowing with ideas.. so too bad D:)

I encourage you to also spend time on other stuffs. Maybe read some novels and inspire yourself to write a story that can be made into a great RPG once SC2 is out.

I thought about her being older, but I thought it would be interesting to have some hellspawn child-like hero, like someone who would look at her and say 'your pretty cocky for a little brat'. Archer tends to be more of a direct attacker with arrow spam, rather that thinking things though.

Once your game comes out, and I find it addictive and inspiring, I probably will.

Well, when I imagined her fighting, I would seen her with the hood covering most of her face, and the cloak wrapping around her so that it somewhat resembles a low-res hydra.

I constantly am thinking of stories and adding on to them, working out the technicalities and making them more real is a fun challenge. I figured the stories would never make it in-game (not like the players would care), and even more so about the drawings. I just like to keep things interesting.

I actually have thought of a few RPG's for SC1, it's just that the things I wanted to implement into the games kept expanding and became too big of a game for me to make. I assure you, had the games been made... well they haven't, so maybe for SC2.

UU what are your plans for TS and SC2? Have you considered getting new art done and doing something like what Dota did? Obviously don't make a dota clone, keep it TS styled.

Thought of a way to keep classic marine lv1 + mine capping. Rine still gets +3 but only starts at 8. We also add 3 triggers like this:

Conditions:
Any player commands at least 2 mines at (insert warp capping location)
Actions:
Kill 1 mine at (previous loaction)
Set unit properties for all mines at (previous location) to - HP 1%
Preserve trigger

Mine capping still exists, but

This change is an MT change. I think doing this we could have a +3 rine with the M7 rine Lv2 spell, possibly M7 lv3, and mine drone returned for Lv4 with 1 slight modification -
The drone will spawn mines that arent invincible, but with full hp(10). Mines created via lv1 will spawn with 33% hp(3). invincible mines were too much of a shut down against LM.

yeah, but the problem is that assault and stuff can still kill the mines with any stun spell basically, and, they get exp for it apparently... I had an assault in the earlier v where he had dropship kill an entire thing of my mine drone's mines with a vult drop stun, and get about 40 exp from it somehow...

First and foremost, one does not get XP for any units killed by trigger. Secondly, even if one did, mines give killscore equivalent to Broodling. (25) Lastly, even if one did manage to get XP for every mine at once, it is impossible to gain 40 XP in one trigger cycle.

I'm not believing it until I see a replay.

You can also have a flawless kills to cash system using kills score as well... For instance:

  • Current player's kill score is at least 50.

I've used this in plenty of maps and it works flawlessly, to my knowledge, even with splash. Of course, you need to do it with every single possible unit you could kill. This includes allied units due to splash damage effecting them.

wait, so does this mean that different heroes have different kilscores? thus meaning that if i kill a hero with a low ks early game i might not get as much exp as i should?

You don't get it. Yes, different units have different kill scores. That doesn't mean you can't make them give the same reward...

But Didn't UU make it so the scores ARE based off killscores? Because otherwise it would be easy to swap marines and zealots.

This is what I was thinking, and I think you would have to arrange the list from highest kill score to lowest kill score to work better, because you have to keep in mind both sides are killing each other, adding to the death count. I suppose you could set each death to 0 for the computer, but that might mean you might lose a couple of kills due to resets. I'm not sure if splash would ruin the system though.
