Try Crysis if you have a kick-ass computer. If not, try Call Of Duty 4, if you are into multiplayer.
There is F.E.A.R., which is a FPS horror-ish sorta game. Its pretty fun.
Then there is Homeworld 1, 2, and Cataclysm, which you will like if you enjoy space-based RTS games. (HW1 and Cataclysm are very old though, but classics nonetheless) If you do buy #2, just make sure you play it with mods, for some of the mods for Homeworld 2 are like so: Mod>>>original game.

If anything cool is ever going on Skype me up under the name "blarghle"

Homeworld and Homeworld 2 were great. Cataclysm was disappointing, I suggest you stay away from it. Homeworld had a great story, Homeworld 2 was pretty meh storywise but had some pretty good online play.

StarCraft's a land-based RTS. ;P
Homeworld/etc. actualy take place in space - all the units are self-contained flying vessels ( or position-maintaining, atleast... ) , gameplay never occurs significantly near planets ( so far's I know - never touched Homeworld 2. I doubt it'd be any different, though... ) , and the game field is entirely 3D, with little-or-no orientation bias.
Oh, and Homeworld also has an awesome soundtrack. =D Ambient ftw.

Mafia: City of Lost Heaven. I recommend Call of Duty 4 for some Multiplayer Action. Mount&Blade is a very good RPG. Battlefield series looks good. Or maybe... SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE. Frets On Fire will also get you hooked ;p

Sins of a Solar Empire.
Its a mixture of Homeworld and Galactic Civilizations.

Speaking of space/land-based RTS games, what about CnC 3? CnC tiberian sun is the best IMO, but thats probably better :P

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[2026-7-16. : 6:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
