I actually just started reading something else by the same author two days ago. it's about a bunch of systems administrators who survive a nuclear holocaust and have to use their skills to restore order.

Best book ever. I really thought that Marcus would end up with Van, though. I was a little disappointed, too. I liked her better than Ange.
