Okay, I just got a new 8800GTS GPU.

I noticed that is has a 6-Pin molex connector on the back for power. The problem is, my Power supply only has a 4-pin connector for a PCI-E GPU. It's strange because in the manual it says:

"XFX Graphics Cards with auxiliary power requirment, you must connect the AGP 4 pin mollex adapter or the 6 pin mollex adapter for PCI-E"

So I have a 4 pin, and it fits comfortably in the 8800GTS. and the Diagram shows (2) 6-pin connectors should go into the GPU, even though the GPU I have only has space for (1) 6 pin connector.

Should I use a different PCI slot...?
Or what the hell should I do. Nothing turns on when the graphics card is in the PCI-E Slot. But when you take it out, everything works fine.

If your PSU does not have a 6 PIN PCIe connector, you can use a Molex to 6 pin PCIe adapter shown here:

But to be honest, I don't really understand what you're saying.

Aren't GPU's are supposed to have a more dedicated power line? And I basically got the same GPU shown there, except mine didn't come with the 4 - pin to 6 pin cable.

I have a 4 Pin PCI connector. Is there an adapter for that?

(I.E. 4 pin PCI connector to 6 pin PCI connector)

EDIT:
I said it wrong.

1.)
GPUs get their power from the slot they're plugged into along with the connector that is plugged into them.

2.)
A 4 pin molex would be the one you plug fans into. Your four pin is not going to be of any help unless you get an adapter that can adapt it to a 6pin.

The cable you say you don't have, that is the one you need. You need to plug two molex connectors into that and plug that into the video card so you have a 6 pin PCIe connector. Without the power supplied by that, you're not going to be able to use the video card.

Yeah sorry,

I ment I have a 4 pin PCI connector
xD

Since the manual says you can use it, I thought it would work. But It doesn't.

I remember the manual saying something weird about my XFX 8800GS power connections, but it still worked fine. I think the manual contradicted itself or showed something that wasn't on the actual card in a diagram.

For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.
