I was reading up the UMS theory forums and i came across a GH map, they talked about using EUD's to detect when a building is selected, this sounds like a pretty bad ass method... but i do not know how to use them. a link, or a short tutorial, a download suggestion.... anything would be awesome if it wil help me with eud's.

How i intend to do eet:

Condition:
Player X selects 1 command center at location "Green"
Action:
Destroy 1 "Note" at location "Green"
Player 1 add 50 "custom" score (i think thats how its done, w/e)

so while they select the command centers, the notes (most likely vultures or wriaths) will be destroyed if they are within the location of the note, then they will be killed, and it add 50 points to custom score (location will be around the CC of that particular note)

None.

aka idmontie

Selecting a unit like that would kind of defeat the purpose of "guitar" hero. I'd rather have to hot key and create a probe like your original idea. And, if you use EUD's, then your map will not be playable when patches are created.

Woah

Please provide screenshots in this thread if you want it to remain open.

As for the map, A_of-s_t makes a good point. You can't hit notes that quickly if you have to click them. I wonder if there's a way to make it so that you can hotkey the buildings and just by selecting 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 the notes get hit. I know nothing of EUDs, though, being the Mac-user that I am, so I can't help ya there.

Woah

Closed, due to lack of a screenshot.

If you want this reopened, add some. :P

Oh_Man -- and no consistent easy to use way to then play the audio either
[01:39 am]
Oh_Man -- where they use third party audioprogram called WWISE which basically makes adding audio extremely difficult
[01:39 am]
Oh_Man -- i appreciate SCBW's ability to just let us upload and play WAVs so much compared to nightmare that is total war warhammer 3

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.
