That was from about 2 years ago, so I'm missing a lot of details.
I think the guy was a biologist, and he stopped at every place he could to show us around. At that one spot, he wanted to show us he could get a bird on his hand.
No sorcery really: the birds were all "artificially tamed" by tourists feeding them, so you only had to pretend to be handing food for them to come up close. Not sure everyone was able to get them to sit on your hand like this guy did, though.

It was my first time on a snowboard for the first time in something like 6 years. I had a blast!
I borrowed my friend's snowboard to make my life easier when I'd be hitch-hiking... but I didn't know she was a goofy-rider (the equivalent of a "left-handed" snowboard)!
So I ended up stuck with this awkward snowboard for my return, haha.

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
