Bound Assault
An interactive Bounding Defense game.

•Play continuous bounds on the left side 3x3 square.
•Where ever you stand on the left, will kill the corresponding square on the right (indicated by the Scourge).
•Stop on-coming units from reaching the bottom.
•Try not to let your Zergling die (too much)

Unit Reaching Bottom = -1 Life
Zergling Dying = -1 Life

Right now I plan on respawning at the safe area on the bottom, since It's closer to the end of the defense Area.

Obstacles will run for a set amount of time (15 seconds?) before changing to the next level.
After every 5 obstacles, all Players will join at the middle for a bonus mini-game.
Mini-game prizes will be lives, or maybe items ( ex. Kill all units for 5 seconds, invincible, etc. )
After the mini-game you will go back to your square, where the obstacles will get harder, unit patterns change, and every 5 levels the unit coming down will change.
Trying to find the slowest small units, already have high temp. <--Advice?

Note: Standing on 2 squares won't kill both squares. The square you most recently touched, or the square you are completely standing on will be the one the scourge moves to.

Game will be mostly competition, but players that lose are free to stay and watch, and game won't end until everybody is dead.

Any suggestions, criticism, comments, and hate-mail are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks to MNeox for partially coming up with this idea.

Relatively ancient and inactive

Sounds fun. One of the better bound-other combinations I've seen. Good luck with it!

Sounds very interesting. I personally wouldn't play it because I suck at bounds, and this seems a bajillion times harder.

I'm ganna try to start out with obs that are ridiculously easy, and gradually move to some medium ones.
Not ganna have any hard ones, because it would be weird trying to concentrate on something hard and the other square at the same time.

wow this is great for harder levels did you think of obstacles on the left sqaure but a little slower enemies because this seems too hard

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
